North Norfolk Historic Buildings Trust (NNHBT), owners of Langham Dome, wanted a branding style which would encourage the public to find out more about this intriguing building. Ugly Studios were appointed to create the brand after a competitive tender process.
We designed an easily accessible and yet striking visual identity that united both the physical building and the wealth of stories this new visitor centre held inside. To compliment this, we also devised a strapline, font and a brand style guide.
The brand has been implemented across printed materials, a website and social media profiles. Visitor numbers to the Dome have exceeded predicted figures, and we continue to build on our strong relationship with NNHBT and the Friends of Langham Dome.
Langham Dome is now an award-winning site, with the following accolades:
Angel Awards, English Heritage 2014- Commended
The Graham Allen Award for Conservation and Design 2014 - Special Commemoration
Association for Heritage Interpretation 'Discover Heritage' Awards 2015 - Runner Up & Judges' Special Mention.

It is difficult to quantify the immense contribution that Ugly Studios has made to the success of the Langham Dome project. Suffice to say that without their enthusiasm, imagination and dedication to the project, we would have floundered!
