This week we completed a series of Iron Age illustrations for Colchester and Ipswich Museums. The project involved careful studying of Iron Age clothing, accessories and weaponry to create accurate and vivid representations of people from the time period.

Colchester’s Iron Age heritage is a rich and exciting one. During the Iron age it was a key settlement, and the archaeological finds in the area represent probably the finest and most extensive collection of Romano-British archaeology in the world. The museum collection includes medallions and other burial relics. The illustrations will be used in role-playing activities for school groups and workshops.
