Brief

We were commissioned by North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) to develop an interpretation plan guiding the development of their landscape wide economic and cultural initiative - Deep History Coast. The project area spans 25 miles of the Norfolk coast.

Idea

Working with NNDC we undertook: audience and stakeholder surveys, developed interpretive themes. We created a display plan, visual style, marketing style guide, and budget, to cover 12 sites and a new gateway visitor centre.

Result

Our Plan was used in public and stakeholder consultation, leading to NNDC approving 500k to be allocated to the DHC initiative. NNDC used the plan for successful funding applications, and later to guide the production of interpretative displays, an augmented reality app, marketing initiatives and the redevelopment of their main tourist information centre.
