Dunwich Heath is a precious habitat that’s home to some strange and rare animals. Wanting to highlight some of this unusual wildlife, National Trust commissioned us to realise their ideas with informative and eye-catching interpretive panels
Idea
Working together with the reserve staff, we developed the idea of making the panels look like pages from a naturalist’s sketchbook. This approach meant we could make them highly visual with lots of illustration and still keep plenty of room for text.
Result
Marrying together a nostalgic sketching style with bright, bold colours and clean typography, we created a simple and modern design that had a strong nod to the work of early naturalists. The final panels were housed in solid oak frames
