Essex County Council, funded by the 'Walls and Gardens' Project, commissioned Ugly Studios to design, produce and install a travelling exhibition about the Napoleonic Home Front. They were particularly interested in a creative approach to interpreting their defence heritage.
Idea
A bespoke set of display stands and other furniture fit the client’s travel specifications but also evoke a feel of contemporary military equipment, so as to reinforce the message with the medium. Period feel graphic panels and two specially designed AV units provide a multilevel experience for any venue.
Result
Both the client and visitors to Jaywick Martello Tower were very pleased with the exhibition. In particular the interactives we designed for them – a jigsaw and the Bogs and Bridges game - proved very popular. The exhibition is now offered out to other venues.
