Essex County Council required a series of leaflets and an activity sheet for visitors, to complement World War Two Heritage Trail boards and a touch-screen, also designed by Ugly Studios.
Our idea used vivid textures such as stone and concrete to evoke pillboxes and other World War Two relics. Alongside maps and bite-size content, the 'Spy Trail' activity sheet transforms visitors into spies, encouraging their imaginations to recreate the Essex landscape as a WW2 site.
The leaflets have been praised by Essex County Council staff and the formats used in seven separate leaflets. They have been distributed across Essex, and are available as part of our WW2 touch-screen display at Chelmsford Museum.
What we did
Ugly produced leaflet designs with a suitable look and feel for the subject matter...
