The Great Hospital in Norwich contains buildings with a unique historical and archaeological value. Wanting a new heritage exhibition area that reflected the Hospital’s ethos of quality care, the Hospital commissioned us to create an engaging approach to interpreting this important site.
Idea
A colour palette of calm, natural shades together with a soundtrack of Psalms help visitors to focus on the experiences of the Hospital’s residents over time. Graphic panels and a touch-screen provide a multi-level experience in a very limited space.
Result
The exhibition has been warmly received by many VIPs. The touch-screen in particular has proved extremely popular with everyone. This new facility has facilitated weekly openings and is the focal point for public tours.
