Ugly Studios to deliver ‘New Life’ in King’s Lynn

The Churches Conservation Trust have chosen us to design an exhibition space as part of their HLF-funded project ‘New Life for St Nicholas’ Chapel’.

St Nicholas, a highlight of the King’s Lynn skyline, is currently undergoing major restoration to safeguard the building for the future as a place of worship, as well as a unique music venue. The Chapel will be renovated to hold more events and to provide a thriving community atmosphere. Where do we get involved? The CCT aims to open an interpretive exhibition space exploring the history of the Chapel and the ongoing importance it has had on the community of King’s Lynn.

Our provisional concept for the exhibition included a clear layout of themes, efficiently incorporating the wealth of information about the Chapel and its lifetime in a manageable way. Our focus was to humanise the Chapel’s story, making it relevant and contemporary to their potential visitors, and opening up the building to the widest possible audience. To display this content, we’re aiming to use a variety of media to bring the Chapel to life.

We’re enthusiastic to get started on something new. Watch this space for more information!
