New displays for the RSPB

We’ve designed a new interpretation display for the RSPB’s Rainham Marshes Nature Reserve.

Visitors to Rainham Marshes can now discover how London’s new “super sewer” – The Thames Tideway – has helped shape a stunning new 110-hectare wetland on the Thames estuary. Made from 1.5 million tonnes of clay and chalk excavated to build the sewer, the site has become a haven for Lapwing, Little Ringed Plover and Redshank and more.

We designed the display: content and illustration to tell the story of how the wetland was made, how it helps migrating birds, providing feeding grounds for their journeys and, how London’s new super sewer – The Thames Tideway – is making the river a cleaner and healthier place.

The displays, unveiled in Rainham’s beautiful visitor centre on September 4, celebrate this creative partnership between Tideway and the RSPB in transforming London’s river-side landscape.
